About the TEMPLATES plugin...

"[GitHub - joplin/plugin-templates: Create templates in Joplin and use them to create new notes and todos.](https://github.com/joplin/plugin-templates?tab=readme-ov-file)"

I tested all the built in variables: no problem.

BUT...

With custom variables : nothing happen...

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex028/uploads/cozic/original/3X/9/c/9c8055d6b65af5bdb534b347badddd09de657287.png)

Created note (I was asked nothing)

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex028/uploads/cozic/original/3X/6/7/6780653e9d0956c1216db5ba9e138c3651bb3154.png)

But this thing works:

> [@Template Plugin](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/template-plugin/17470/158):
>
> Import this note [test note template.jex](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/uploads/short-url/irmGUHnowsDFICYA6WiwVDQkuSA.jex) (4.5 KB) Test that it works: Tools -- Templates -- Create note from template -- dropdown "test note template" -- OK edit this test template to your needs Hope this helps

I see no difference !!!

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex028/uploads/cozic/original/3X/8/1/810d266ffcd0751d4cd1e5bb80dc83792c572e31.png)
=\>

Maybe using 3 "-" with no space between and avoiding the line button...

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex028/uploads/cozic/original/3X/2/e/2e305341f63a32e24be3c68266e9ef1037e79bef.png)

In this case the strange behavior after the last "---" (bold thing and no more second line) is not a problem...

It remembers me: "[Markdown Editor : the text becomes enormous after a dash : why?](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/markdown-editor-the-text-becomes-enormous-after-a-dash-why/44739)"

In fact there's a big "micmac" between the RTE and the MDE. Caracters seems OK but there are NOT.

SO : NEVER USE THE RTE in order to create a template and DON'T BELIEVE the MDV (MarkDown Viewer)

This is OK:

NO MORE HELP NEEDED. Thank you.
