What issue do you have?

With numlock off, the delete key on the number pad doesn't do anything. It should do the same thing that the delete key "DEL" to the left of the number pad does (which is delete the character to the right of the cursor.) I don't know when this changed. Is there a way to get this key working again (like a setting) or is this a bug?

The insert key on the number pad doesn't work either. Just tested it as I never use that one.0.

Could this be a Linux thing?

On my Debian / KDE system the numlock delete key did not work, just like it did not work for you. I then tried to switch it on in the keyboard key binding settings and it worked (I did have to restart Joplin). I say I "tried to switch it on" as I had no idea what the options meant so I just started selecting them until the key worked. I then switched it off again and it still works!

Unfortunately as I was just randomly selecting numlock delete key options to try to get it to work I cannot recall which option I selected. I cannot try again as now I cannot get the numlock delete key not to work!

Are you saying the delete key on the num pad didn’t work for you at all in any application or that it just didn’t work in Joplin. My num pad delete key works in everything but doesn’t work in Joplin, that is why I figure it is a Joplin issue.

Apologies, my bad. I do not normally use the numpad delete key as I have numlock on from boot, so I only tested it with Joplin.

Please ignore this rubbish I have been typing!!! The "switch it on and off again" in the keyboard settings "technique" did not survive a reboot and switching the option on and leaving it on also did not survive a reboot. Sorry, I rushed a reply rather than testing properly and so in reality the only thing my posts are doing is needlessly wasting electrons
