OK, I’ve now clean installed Joplin into Mint using the wget command shown on the Joplin home page. It works well and gives me the icons.

All the files are now downloaded from the Nextcloud server and appear in Joplin OK. But where are they on the hard drive? I’m expecting to see them in ~/Nextcloud/Joplin.

For Linux Mint, use the AppImage download on the Joplin site, not the Flathub version in Software Manager.

Before installation, delete any old .config/Nextcloud folder.

Sync to Nextcloud server using Wizard:

  • Select Log in
  • Enter server
  • Enter credentials.
