### What issue do you have?

I've just switched from Dropbox synch to Joplin cloud. Where on my computer are my files stored, previously I could see them in my dropbox folder and they were available offline.
Are they still available offline in the event of an internet failure?

On windows your data is stored in a mysql database.

%USERPROFILE%\.config\joplin-desktop

C:\Users\\.config\joplin-desktop

If you want to back up your data to an external drive, for example, you can do that through the drop-down menu. Just export all into a .jex file.

Ahh ok, Thanks, I found it

I thought the notes were stored as individual .md files

I'll certainly do a backup to my NAS
