I've somehow missed this until now. What a genius idea, @rxliuli.

Hi @rxliuli
Today I was trying to use this add-on and Firefox has not shown anything.
I remembered the result appears below a title of "Joplin search notes" but in this case, even the title not showing as well.
I have checked the port and the token, just in case I copy & paste again them and nothing changed.
Joplin Web clipper working without any problem.
Even I have removed and install again it and as usual the add on show ready to use as showing below

I am not sure if Firefox change anything or there is a bug or there is another reason in the add-on, but I can not give you more information due to I could not see any warning or error.
I attached the screenshot and URL manifest json file after inspecting the add-on. If this information is not enough, let me know what do you need to check the add-on problem and, on the other hands confirm me this is the best place to report this kind of issue? Thanks
Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit)
Add on version 0.5.1
Search engine: DuckDuckGo
Joplin search integration.json (846 Bytes)
Sorry after sending this message, I have checked changing the search engine, with Google engine and working without any issue, I found the issue, this hapens using DuckDuckGo just in case you want to look for the reason.

I'm sure duckduckgo recently modified the webpage structure, I'll try to re-adapt it.

Thank you. Working perfect and add-ons 0.5.2 is available from Firefox browser add-ons store to update it right now.
Released 0.5.3, mainly to update the infrastructure, the function has not changed, but supports firefox manifest v3, and requires firefox v109 or above, refer to: Manifest V3 migration guide | Firefox Extension Workshop

Hi @rxliuli
The add.on v 0.5.3 is not working right now, May be the reason was I have updated Firefox 2 days ago to V115.0.2. Also checked on Google Chrome and it is not working as well.
I tested google search in firefox and chrome, they are all normal, what search engine room are you using?
I did notice a problem with the duckduckgo search integration not working in firefox, it seems that firefox's default setting prohibits requesting localhost services on web pages, the specific error: Content-Security-Policy: The page's settings blocked the loading of a resource at *** (“connect-src”)., I will look into it later.
@Eduardo Release 0.5.4, has solved the problem of not working properly in duckduckgo search, but your problem is solved?

Hi @rxliuli
Right, the problem was Firefox + Duck as search engine. But with the new add-on version all is working well, thanks.
hi @rxliuli
I realized after sometimes that the Joplin search integration does not work on my side
I have checked
a. Using different navigator, as chrome, Firefox
b. Using different search engine as duck, google, etc
c. Create and paste a new token using http://127.0.0.1:41184
d. changing plugin configuration.
e. Disabling uBlock Origin
the add.on appear as not active

and there is not any right side pannel to show joplin search result
Can you help me how to check and find the problem, why is not working?
Joplin 2.13.11 (prod, linux)
Firefox 121.0.0
Chrome 120.0.6099.129
Joplin Search Integration 0.6.0

Hi @rxliuli
For example in Chrome I have this set up in configuration.
Sorry, the config is in Spanish.
But does not work.
Are there any errors in the devtools console?
You have to open this extension-window when you were at google.com (or the supported searchengine). The you could allow the site for the extension.
Although I have previously utilized the add-on without the need to enter to google.com or other any extra configurations, I have now followed your new activation process.
Unfortunately, it still isn't functioning. It appears that the add-on remains inactive even after implementing a different setup.
but please check this screenshot

you can see add-on is not highlighted like the preceding one, or that it appears more faded compared to the previous line.
Later I have deactivate the others add.on that I have installed to avoid some incompatibility if there was any and still not working.
Later when attempting to access the debug add-on, I encountered an error. I'm unsure if this information will assist in identifying and resolving my issue.
In the example above I have used Firefox with search engine google
Thanks in advance
