Hi everyone,
After updating Joplin to the latest version, the app no longer displays any content—all I see is a black screen when I open it. The menu bar is visible and clickable, but the main editor and note list are completely blank. Restarting the app and rebooting my system didn’t help.
System Details:
Joplin Version: Latest (Desktop)
Operating System: Windows 10 / macOS Ventura / Linux (Ubuntu 22.04)
Display Mode: Dark mode enabled before the update
What I Tried:
Reinstalling Joplin – still black screen
Running Joplin with --no-sandbox – no effect
Checking logs – no errors detected
Deleting ~/.config/joplin-desktop – reset everything but didn’t solve it
Could this be an Electron-related issue, or is it caused by a theme or plugin conflict? Is there a way to reset UI settings without losing my data? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
