# Joplin 1.2.6 Win 8 Plain blank window on startup

Hi,

I installed the latest version(1.2.6) of Joplin on my Windows Pro 8 desktop. When attempting to start the program, all I get is a blank window. If I should click on the location where the menus are located, I can see the menu content. Beyond that, absolutely nothing. I have Joplin working absolutely fine on my Windows 10 desktop.

I have attached the screenshots of the application after starting, and the logfile as well. An almost identical problem seems to have occurred [here](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/windows-10-desktop-app-invisible-joplin-window/5999), but the solution proposed here does not work in my case.

Please help me out! Thank you!!

This seems to be the [same problem](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/error-6-when-building-on-linux/11589/22) I'm experiencing on arch linux.
