I have Joplin 1.4.18, with Win 10 Pro 2004

I'm still experimenting with Notebook structure.

Q: How do I raise a notebook one level higher?

I had three folders thus:

- 04Cars
- 08Financial
- 12Computer

After doing something, I now have:

- 04Cars
  - 08Financial
  - 12Computer

How do I restore 08 and 12 to their previous levels?

Thanks.

Drag and drop the sub-notebooks onto the notebook **above** `04Cars` or, if there is nothing above `04Cars`, "NOTEBOOKS", the 'root' of the notebook structure.

@[dpoulton](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/how-to-raise-a-notebook-one-level-higher/13148/2) Thanks for response.

Where exactly is the "sweet spot" for dragging?

Is it the tip of the pointing arrow, or the small virtual rectangle, or whatever?

That might have been the "something" that caused me to get into this mess. I possibly misjudged the target location for a dragged folder.

The point of the arrow works for me.

That worked fine. Thanks.
