# How to Access AI Chat features?

### What issue do you have?

I am using Joplin for the very first time and I was trying to explore AI chat feature in the Joplin but to use those features it tells me to navigate to the settings and enable this feature but could not find any settings icon or page in the application . probably I am missing something but it is not easy for me to navigate to the things that Joplin provides . It would be really helpful if someone could tell me what AI features Joplin provides and how one can use them?

You can see AI features in 'Tools -\> Options'

From there it is pretty straightforward

Joplin's AI philosophy is that you bring your API key (for example from Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter etc).

You decide what these models can do. Capabilities are listed under 'Tools -\> Options -\> AI -\> Tools'
