# How do you update Joplin on Win 11

### What issue do you have?

How do you update Joplin on Windows 11? Do I uninstall the old version then download and install the latest? Or do I download the update and let it install? Please provide detailed responses.

You don't need to uninstall the previous version. Simply download the new release and run it. It should do everything automatically by itself
