# How do Plugin Work?

First Day - First Time User of Joplin (Windows 11 HOME)
Joplin 3.1.24 (prod, win32)

Backup: 1.4.2
Note Tabs: 1.4.0
Templates: 2.4.0
JOPLIN COMMUNITY
I downloaded a template plugin.
I installed it successfully.
I tried to use it and nothing happens.
Joplin says it is 'not set.'
I deleted and re installed the template plugin many times.
I also re started Joplin many times.
Same result.
Not sure what to do....lost.?????
On the plus side, my JOPLIN NEXTCLOUD sync worked as designed.
I loaded the ANDROID app it also synced successfully.

**Thank you for your timely reply. Yes, already spent alot of time on GitHub.**
\*\*Does your JOPLIN plugins work? I have totally deleted and re installed JOPLIN from my C drive several times and still cant get this JOPLIN template plugin to work properly. Gettin a error message saying this plugin is not installed. \*\*
**I even tried side loading the plugin - load it as a file outside of JOPLIN - no luck.**

That is odd because the the information from Joplin that you posted shows that it is installed.
Could you please post a screenshot of the error message and say what you were doing when you got the error message.
