Haven't tried this yet cause I have a question at the end.
Yes, you should be able to customize the colors. You will have to edit some of the configuration files.
Yes. Joplin normally highlights search matches automatically when you search, but the exact behavior depends on where you're searching. If you're asking whether you can change the highlight color of the words that match your search—for example, make every search hit bright yellow or red—that can be done with custom CSS in Joplin Desktop. For example, in userstyle.css, you can use something along these lines: mark { background-color: yellow !important; color: black !important; } However, Joplin uses different HTML/CSS classes depending on whether the highlighting is in the Markdown viewer, Rich Text editor, or search results, so I'd want to target the correct element rather than changing every element.
If you tell me where you want the color highlighting—inside the note while you're viewing it, inside the editor while editing, or in the list of search results—I can give you the exact Joplin CSS to make searched words, say, bright yellow.
Just to be clear, for example, if I search for Wi-Fi, all notes about Wi-Fi appear, but I also want all WiFi words highlighted in yellow within those same notes. Is that possible, and how do you set that up?
I've only been using Joplin for two months.
