# Feature Request: basic search within a note (mobile version)

In the desktop application, I can do a simple Ctrl-F style search _within_ a note. Somehow this basic functionality is missing from the mobile (Android) version of the app. I have very long notes containing lookup info, and on the mobile version I can't search for a keyword; instead, I have to manually scroll and try to find whatever keyword I'm looking for.

There should be a search button in the toolbar (but only in edit mode).

Thanks for that tip. At least my use case possible now, though the extra steps should be unnecessary. I still would suggest that a basic search be possible under view mode.

Thank you for this question, bigern77, as I found this very problematic when away from my computer.  
And thank you personalizeddrefriger, for giving us this work-around. Not ideal, but it appears to work.
