What issue do you have?

This is a question, more than an issue. An android Eink Ereader is taking a horribly long time to sync. I wonder if the storage in the device is more like a thumb drive than an SSD and so trying to use it with Joplin or anything else that writes a lot will quickly wear it out. My phone, and normal tablet and desktop all sync fine. Updating the resources takes just a minute or two even if I haven't used Joplin on my phone for a week. But, on this Android Eink Ereader, a similar sync can take over an hour. My phone is not new or powerful.

My question is, because of the unusual device, should I remove Joplin from it because I could be wearing out the cheap storage it has? I'm looking for hardware advice, this is not a Joplin problem, I just feel comfortable here and thought someone might give me an impartial answer.

I've had the same experience, but eBook readers are not powerful devices. My new Boox Palma synced faster, but still not as fast as my tablet. But it's not necessary for me. What's important to me is completeness, and that's what I get. But I remember being very annoyed at the time it took to sync. I uninstalled the app from the Palma and reinstalled it. After that, syncing was slow, but much faster. (20min, not 4 hours)

Thanks. I've tried the uninstall - reinstall. It wouldn't surprise me if the storage on the Palma is better than the Page. I haven't been able to get any information from the Boox Reddit group. My solution was simply to give up. I have Joplin working well on my phone and tablet, as well as my Windows Desktop. For the occasional note I'd like to make on my Page, I can simply use another program that isn't as deep.

I've run in to this same issue on the Page, Note Air 3C and Go 10.3. It seems that these devices simply can't take the extended initial sync process needed to get your archive in to a new device.
