And besides, Joplin can sync without using Joplin cloud. I was using Joplin very happily before Cloud even existed.

Can you tell me how to manage your notes on your phone and computer without synchronization, and how to transfer your notes when you change your computer or phone?

I'm not saying "developers shouldn't charge for Joplin Cloud" or "Joplin Cloud should be shut down." I respect the developers' decision to create paid solutions. But with one condition: paid users shouldn't have advantages over free users. You know that term "pay to win" in the gaming world? I'm against that, especially in applications like Joplin.

Thank you. I almost was homeless at one point years ago. I miss my dad but I have a home because he left me his. Otherwise I would be in financial distress.

Housing here both purchasing and renting have gone up tremendously here. It is impossible for somebody that graduates from high school or even College to rent an apartment never mind by a home.

When I first moved to Florida in 2007 I was paying $950 for two bedroom two bath with a washer and dryer and a garage. Now that same unit is about 2,500 a month or more.

I could never in a million years afford to buy my own home. In fact the next financial burden I'm facing is having to replace the roof on my house. When it needs to be replaced which will probably be within a year or so it will cost tens of thousands of dollars and I don't know where it's going to come from. I'll likely just have an uninsured roof.

And that's not a good thing when you live in Hurricane country. 2 years ago hurricane came through here and tore 25 tiles off my roof.

Inflation is not as bad here as it is in other countries although people still feel the crunch. I went shopping at a supermarket the other day and didn't even buy any meat or chicken or real food and one shopping bag came to $50.

I'm glad you shared your experiences. Here, America is often seen as a country like in Hollywood movies, where everyone lives within the American Dream... Hopefully, your words serve as a warning for those who think this way. America attracts my interest due to it being a country where people from vastly different cultures come together.

It's unfair that free users have to deal with days of synchronization while paid users can handle it in a few seconds or minutes.

Is Slow Synchronization in Joplin a Manipulation or a Necessity?

I tried Dropbox, webdav, onedrive and dislike them alot. Slow sync, device freeze/hang. The best option is either using Joplin Server or Joplin Cloud. Fast, reliable and light in terms of memory usage.

As an active user of Joplin who loves and uses it, I believe I have fulfilled my duties as a user on this matter. The rest is up to the other members of the community and the developers.
