Different DMG files for Mac

In the past any update was shown at startup of Joplin, click download, and your browser loaded a Mac Joplin-xxx.dmg file for installation - without any subsequent problems. For the last two updates of Joplin (from 2.11.11 to higher), the same operation points to a different arm file (e.g. Joplin-2.12.4-arm64.dmg), which I can download, but my Mac refuses to accept for installation.
What am I missing ?

What mac are you using? Intel or ARM (i.e. M1/M2)?. An arm dmg won't install on intel for example (or at least I'm 99% sure it won't) where the reverse is possible.

Oh I thought it would keep downloading the non-arm64 version. I need to fix this
