I also came here to say I absolutely detest the Extra Markdown editor that only looks like an editor in the paragraph where your cursor happens to be, otherwise it looks like the view panel. With the content jumping around all the time. Thank dog it can be switched off!
Thanks for the hard work, of course, but still… note that if most users complain, that is literally the opposite of “user friendly”
I’m new to Joplin but I really like this feature, maybe it should have been more explained in the app itself for old users but as long as there is a setting to disable it I feel it’s fine for everyone
Hello, I've put a roadmap for the Markdown editor changes here:
What we are doing is meant to be a net improvement: useful features (hopefully) are added and nothing is removed, but we should probably make that a bit clearer and have a smoother transition, so that's why I'm proposing the above roadmap.
