# Default notebook: saving new notes into inbox automtically

This would be a nice time saver that could:

- Work around note creation bugs with special notebooks like `All notes` and `Conflicts` open: [Notebook selection for notes created in All notes needs exceptions](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/notebook-selection-for-notes-created-in-all-notes-needs-exceptions/39446)

- Accept custom rules for multiple default notes depending on which notebook is open, similar to how I think this Obsidian plugin works: [GitHub - jooooock/default-locations-for-new-notes: default-locations-for-new-notes](https://github.com/jooooock/default-locations-for-new-notes)
