"Credentials are invalid" - sync problem

Operating system

macOS

Joplin version

3.6.14

Desktop version info

Joplin 3.6.14

Sync target

Joplin Cloud

What issue do you have?

I signed up for a Joplin Cloud account last night and successfully synced from my desktop. This morning the app is telling me "Your Joplin Cloud credentials are invalid, please log in." I have done so multiple times and each time the website reports "You have successfully authorised your application" but the app continues to report my credentials are invalid. Yet the JC applications page shows I am connected and authorized.

I do not yet have a log running but I can set one up if needed.

I am having similar trouble on the MacOS app - I authorize sync, then I get "credentials expired" as well as an additional error, "could not upgrade from version 0 to version 1: Team owner cannot synchronise data." This forum is not allowing me to attach any screen shots to this post but I have some from the app if needed. However I am not finding a "log button" in the configurations as described

Hello,

as described here, the team owner cannot sync data:

Team owners are for admin purposes only

Thank you for this info. I tried to add myself as a team member but I get the error "This user already has a Joplin Cloud account. Only users that are not already on the system can be invited" - how can I function as a member so I can sync?

The team admin account is only for managing users and billing. To collaborate with the other members of your team, add yourself as a member using a different email address.

For example if you use a @gmail.com email address, use the @googlemail.com alias.

Thank you. I didn't realize I'd need to use different accounts for admin and syncing - it would be helpful if that were indicated somewhere during account creation/signup. I'm letting things sync now and then will be working on sharing notebooks with my partner as we migrate off Evernote.
