What issue do you have?

Sometimes when I save a note and then go back to it, I find that the end of a sentence is missing. I thought maybe sometimes I accidentally tap undo just before back. Recently I've seen it happen occasionally with the title, which wasn't the last thing I typed. Now I found some even worse problems - a note I typed over a year ago has a big chunk missing. Another old note has content unrelated to the title, with none of the information that should be there. This discovery may explain why occasionally I look for something I thought I wrote, and can't find it. After years of using joplin, I have no idea how much I may have lost. I'm sure you can imagine the distress of realizing that important information maybe disappearing at random. What might cause this? What can I do about it?

Hi, I've noticed the same problem, and it's extremely frustrating because Joplin is amazing in every way except that it sometimes loses some of my content, which is terrible! I rely on Joplin for many things since I'm autistic, and this is becoming a real problem for me!

I use Joplin on Linux PC and on Android, they're synced using Joplin Cloud with encryption. I've noticed it happen when using Joplin on Linux PC alone with sync (no Android). So it's not an Android issue, it's an issue with how the core sync works. Maybe related to the fact that sync works slowly which allows edits to happen during sync?

I also use Joplin on linux, ( and I'm also autistic - what a coincidence!) But I almost never edit on linux, only android. I'm trying to think of how editing during sync would cause problems - if I edit well it's copying to the server, I don't know why the older version from the server would overwrite the newer one on my device.

Other people must be having this problem... anybody?

I have noticed this too, but only on the Android client (currently 3.0.8), never in the Linux desktop.

What I observe every now and then (I have not noticed a pattern) is that I create a task in Android and later notice that the title line is missing the last 3-6 letters.

I've noticed the same issue recently, a lot. No idea how long it has been happening.

Very frustrating to do a LOT of researching and choosing which product I want, making notes of it, and putting in links. Just to come back later to do my shopping and everything I typed is gone.
I soooooo don't want to have to switch back to OneNote

eta: just updated to 3.1.20 - will see if keeps happening
