What issue do you have?

  1. When copy pasting from a website, images do not copy over. I have to right click and copy image and paste into the Joplin page section where image should be, if alt text is provided on webpage for image, i see the placeholder, else there is no place holder for it and i have to find the location manually.

  2. numbered list and bullet list:
when copy pasting from a web page, where there are numbered lists and images dont copy over, sometimes I note that the numbered list gets out of whack.

e.g.

  1. text
  2. text
  3. text
    image missing
break in numbered list so now i have to manually edit as i add in images

is there an automated way to correct this from current version on desktop? (looking for instructions here if I am wasting manual time vs some auto correct feature I am not using)

Thanks for everyone at Joplin, Thanks for this community who support each other, I am new here and absorbing so much including the plugins section !!

Hi,

The best way to overcome your problem is to use your browsers extension plugin for joplin. It is a Web Clipper that will copy an entire web page including the pictures and then you can delete from the note what you don't want. You can tell it to copy the web page and markdown format which should preserve your formatting of your lists.

You can also copy a partial website.

Look for the Joplin Web Clipper in your browsers extension store.
