# ~/.config/@joplin and ~/.config/joplin-desktop

Version: Joplin-2.3.5.AppImage or Joplin-2.4.9.AppImage  
Operating System: Linux Mint 20.1 Ulyssa

Hi everybody,

I'd like to know what is the `~/.config/@joplin` directory.

I suppose it is an AppImage specific folder but didn't found anything on the web.

The same in Ubuntu 21.10.

@daneros welcome to the forum.

It's not just Linux. The folder also appears on Windows but at:

`C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\@joplin\app-desktop`

It's just a guess, but it appears to contain data for Joplin / Electron itself as opposed to `C:\Users\<username>\.config\joplin-desktop` (`~/.config/joplin-desktop`) which is primarily user data.
