# Clip and store PDF

I download and store a lot of PDFs that are technical papers. There are sites that have PDFs that are freely available and it would be great if the Joplin clipper could extract that PDF from the page and store it as well. Evernote was able to do this.

It would prevent me from having to download the file, create a new note, insert the note, and then title correctly.

I did search and was surprised this was not already on the request list. Plus, I searched to see if it was an existing feature - no luck there either. I did see a couple requests for this feature in the Support category.

It came up a few times and it's true it would be useful. Feel free to add an issue on GitHub about it and we'll add it to the backlog.
