Call an external program

Hi,
Is it possible to call an external application from within Joplin?
Something similar to the external text editor. I tried to do it with a shortcut, but it doesn't work because it takes as run folder the Joplin folder.

Yes (on Windows). Just drag the program icon into the note.

How would I achieve this in Linux; for instance calling up rclone from a note? Dragging the icon does not work ...

One thing for sure, on macOS it doesn't work, generates an undecipherable warning.
