Bold text in KaTeX block

Operating system

Linux

Joplin version

2.14.23

What issue do you have?

Hi everyone,

I wish to assign a bold typeface to a vector symbol in a KaTeX block. Tried various font functions which are mentioned in the docs but none seem to work. Is there some other way to achieve this?

I would suggest trying the \bf and \textbf macros/functions.

For me,

$\textbf{v} = \langle 1, 2 \rangle$

and

${\bf v} = \langle 1, 2 \rangle$

For me, both render as
bold v equals left angle 1 comma 2 right angle.

Thanks for the reply.

By saying "render", it dawned on me that the only reason why I'm seeing the rendered KaTeX in the Markdown editor is because I've enabled the option in the Enhancement plugin, so it probably has nothing to do with a lack of support from Joplin's end.
