What issue do you have?

Hello all,
I installed the backup plungin since the first time years ago on my portable joplin first instance.
This year I created a second joplin instance.
When I go to tools > options > plugins and search for the backup plugin, I see it as "installed".
But I can't see it on Options sidebar.
See attachments.
Is this a known bug?
TIA
tony

Using Joplin 3.4..12 on CachyOS and have the same issue. The plugin is installed but it is not showing in the Tools meny.

@tylerism mainly as I think OPs issue is likely different as the packages are more unified on Windows.

I feel like this could be a packaging problem relating to disabling asar bundling.

When packaging this for the Snap, I'd noticed that having this configuration turned on would subtly change some API calls that broke initialisation of the backup plugin entirely, so I turned it off. I think some distributions such as the Flatpak package still use it, because on their environments delta upgrades work on a per file basis for delta upgrades, making downloads more efficient.

The Joplin Dev Console would complain about the plugin specifically if opened with f12, relating to files that don't exist quite where it expects.
