# Automatic save on iOS

I just see that iOS version on Joplin doesn’t save automatically. If you type a not on the fly, you can lose it if you quit the app **without clicking on the floppy disk icon** for any reason. Could it be that all the versions of Joplin act the same way, meaning _autosave_ ?

Autosave was added and will be available in the release:

Sorry, I meant it will be available in the **next** release. (For some reason I left out the most important word.)

As soon as Laurent creates a new release for iOS, the autosave functionality will be there.
