# Anyone know how to use Joplin Server API

There are some threads about accessing the server API. I think [this post](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/is-it-possible-to-request-joplin-server-by-restful-apis-directly/26922/2) is a good summary:

> if you prefer to use Joplin server it does have an API. I don't think it's documented so you'd have to reverse-engineer it from the code or by capturing network traffic.

If it's an option for you, the client has a [well documented API](https://joplinapp.org/help/api/references/rest_api/).
