This add-on below is available in Firefox on Android and allows you to convert the page to Markdown.
Then when you paste it into Joplin, it looks like it's supposed to.
There is an Obsidian web clipper available for Firefox on Android, which is why I also use Obsidian in addition to Joplin, because I can clip on the Android right into the app.
Even better, there's an extension called Joppler which is specifically a Joplin web clipper that works really well. Only downside is it takes quite a few clicks but it's no big deal really.
Thanks for this. I downloaded it but haven't tried it yet. Did not know it existed.
If anyone uses other browsers like Brave, like I do, there is an app in the Google Play App Store called Markdownr. It's not a browser plugin. It's an individual app. You take the URL of the website and paste it in and it goes out and gets the web page and puts it into Markdown format, and puts a title on it, the date, and the summary. It's a nice app to have, because it works with any website. I use it with Google News.
